  Today's W.T on GB not being inspired is having ZERO impact on most J.W's

  the congregation i attend had it's watchtower study on thursday night because of l.d.c work this week-end, and another congregation i have some not very spiritual friends in had their watchtower study on wednesday.

  from what i have delicately prised out of people, the congregations loved the watchtower study this week, saying it was so encouraging and all the usual stuff, with no-one seeming to realise the g.b.

  said they're not inspired, so the spirit int he past has moved them to teach wrong things, and all the other ideas excellently summed up on reddit.. today's watchtower will wash over the heads of most j.w's like it never even happened, the all remaining as loyal as ever, and it makes me so, so sad..

  Correctly! One clear effect of deep indoctrination.

  Having stated that, any logical/intelligent person clearly understands that other organizations are bound to make mistakes, always, as they're all under the control of most imperfect humans.

  This is why many have jumped shipped because of this Org's imperfections. Well... surprise! Same mistakes in any other org of any kind as long being led by other imperfect people.

  So, accentuate, concentrate, enjoy the good, the positive. Or... join any other org and be prepared for when these and many other mistakes hit you in the face again.

  how many in your age group are still jehovahs witnesses?

  from where we are at, there aren't many left.

  each year it gets smaller and smaller haha .

  The Spanish JW community here in FL is more about the community than it is about the religion. We're a tight knit bunch, always together celebrating something, but I see that overall they are sending their young to college, allowing them to participate in extra curricular activities, even supporting a group to go to their high school senior prom.

  I could palpate in the Spanish congs people are really tired of waiting and finally doing their own thing and living their lives.

  So happy to see the young taking charge of their lives!

  I know of two separate stories of elders taking part in JCs while committing adultery themselves for yeeeeeears, one of them with a step-niece (step-child of his older brother). Sick!

  Self-named God's Org is no better than any other unscrupulous man-made religion.😕

  Could a petition to make shunning illegal work?

  we're currently watching leah remini's series about scientology and the main thing she seems to focus on is the shunning policies of the scientology organization which let's face it are very similar to jw procedure.. i was wondering with all that's in the media recently about bullying could a petition be put together to get the goverment to consider making religiously mandated shunning illegal?

  has such a thing been tried before?.

  Different people help, but his demeanor and attitude towards her is awful. I told hubby that I would file a complaint of elderly abuse with the State if something is not done soon to get him to either hire help for her or put it in a home where she would get the 24-7 care she so desperately needs.

  There is one elder who neglects his sick bed-ridden wife horribly. The other elders and several other cong members know it, and yet nobody will move a finger to remove and privately admonish him.

  The saddest situation I have seen.

  Happens ALL the time. There is a person in our family with a heavy drinking problem. Has been disfellowshipped for the same 2x previously; reinstated a few months back, but the drinking to the level of passing out often hasn't stopped. The wife is the perfect reg pioneer. All in our family know it and nobody will turn him in.

  There is no justice whatsoever in this religious org. Is there justice in any man-made org?
